Accountant - Sharjah
Position: Accountant

Primary Responsibilities:
* Financial Reporting: Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
* Tax Compliance: Compute taxes owed and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting, and other tax requirements.
* Audit: Work with external auditors to ensure a correct and timely closing and reporting process.
* Budgeting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, comparing them to actual figures and highlighting any variances.
* Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process and monitor incoming and outgoing payments.
* Cash Management: Reconcile bank statements, ensure proper cash flow, and optimize the handling of bank and deposit relationships.
* Financial Analysis: Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations to project future revenues and expenses.
* Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that the financial operations of the company are conducted in line with local, state, and federal regulations and standards.
* Continuous Improvement: Recommend benchmarks against which to measure the performance of company operations concerning its finances.
* General Ledger: Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
Key Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant certification such as CPA or ACCA is a plus.
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles, procedures, and legislation.
* Proficiency with accounting software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
